JEE Main application form: photo, signature and document checklist

Published on 1 min read

JEE Main is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Most problems in the form come from photographs, signatures and mismatched details. This checklist helps you avoid them.

Photograph and signature

  • Use a recent, clear, plain-background photograph.
  • Sign on white paper with a dark pen, then scan it neatly.
  • Check the file size and format limits in the information bulletin before uploading.

Details that must match

  • Your name and date of birth, exactly as in your Class 10 certificate.
  • Your category and any certificate numbers.
  • Your own mobile number and email, not a relative's.

Before applying, keep these ready as soft copies (scans or clear photos):

  • Class 10 certificate
  • Class 12 marksheet or admit card (if available)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • PwD certificate (if applicable)
  • ID proof

Dates, fees and eligibility change from year to year. Always read the latest official notification before you apply, and keep a copy of your confirmation page.
