Banaras Hindu University (BHU) conducts school admissions for 2025 through an E-Lottery system for classes LKG (Bal Vatika-2), Nursery (Bal Vatika-3), Class 1, and Class 6. The selection process is based on a random number generation system to ensure fairness. Applicants submit their forms online, and a unique serial number is assigned, followed by a computer-generated random number for seat allocation. The process considers reservations for categories like SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, and Differently Abled candidates. Admissions for higher classes, such as Class 9 and 11, are done through the School Entrance Test (SET). |

Priority-Based Allocation:
- Admission of BHU Employee Ward applicants is done first.
- 3% of seats are allocated horizontally to Divyang (OH) applicants through lottery.
Category-Wise Seat Allocation:
- Second Lot: Remaining reserved seats are allotted in this sequence:
ST → SC (interchangeable if seats remain vacant) → OBC-NCL → EWS
Third Lot: Unreserved category seats are filled.
E-Lottery Process:
- A unique serial number is assigned to applicants based on submission time.
A random number (0-1) is generated using Microsoft Excel’s Random Number Generator.
Numbers are sorted in descending order to create the merit list.
In case of a tie, university rules will apply.
Priority-Based Allocation:
- Admission of BHU Employee Ward applicants is done first.
- 3% of seats are allocated horizontally to Divyang (OH) applicants through lottery.
